Nuremberg (dpa/lby) – After a 29-day summer break, 1. FC Nuremberg has started preparatory training for the new football season. Led by coach Robert Klauß, the Franconian second division soccer club entered the training ground at Valznerweiher on Monday and completed the first units in a new composition. Also present were the six newcomers Sadik Fofana, Louis Breunig, Jan Gyamerah, and Erik Wekesser, Shawn Blum and Manuel Wintzheimer.
“I’m especially looking forward to home games in front of a crowd,” said Klauss. A large part of the past season took place in front of empty ranks due to the corona. The derby against SpVgg Greuther Fürth will definitely be a highlight for the 37-year-old. “I’m hoping for a full house. I’ve heard that if you win the derby, you can do anything for a week,” joked the football teacher.
