Aschaffenburg (dpa / lby) – A 73-year-old is said to have killed a 61-year-old woman in a dispute in his apartment. He was arrested on Tuesday, and an investigating judge issued an arrest warrant on Wednesday on strong suspicion of manslaughter. As the police headquarters in Lower Franconia and the public prosecutor’s office in Aschaffenburg announced, the 73-year-old and the woman were in a relationship.
According to the current status of the investigation, there was a dispute between the two on Tuesday evening in the man’s apartment in Bessenbach (Aschaffenburg district). The 73-year-old is said to have inflicted serious injuries on the woman through massive violence. Witnesses who became aware of the woman’s calls for help met the 61-year-old outside the apartment and provided first aid. But she died a little later in the hospital. The man allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.
