Halfing (dpa / lby) – A car collided with a local train at an unrestricted level crossing near Halfing in Upper Bavaria on Sunday, the driver of the car was seriously injured. The 52-year-old woman turned her car off the parallel road and overlooked the approaching train, a police spokesman said. The train driver was unable to brake in time. The approximately 15 passengers on the train were not injured. The train between Halfing and Bad Endorf was comparatively slow.
The train driver gave a loud signal, which the driver obviously ignored.
