Hösbach (dpa / lby) – At 25 degrees and in the blazing sun, a child of almost two years old was locked in a car on the B26 near Hösbach (Aschaffenburg district). The 37-year-old mother stopped on the main road on Wednesday to calm her screaming daughter, police said on Thursday. After she got out, the car locked – the woman’s keys and cell phone were still in the car. The reason for the locked doors is probably a technical defect.

A passing motorist helped the woman and called the police. The officers smashed a small window on the car to get the car key. The 22-month-old girl was unharmed and allowed to sit in the patrol car “after all the tears had dried,” police said.
