Munich (dpa / lby) – A 25 meter high fir tree is to decorate Marienplatz in Munich during the pre-Christmas period. The 50-year-old future Christmas tree was felled and loaded on Wednesday in Hohenpeissenberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau. Today the Siberian silver fir is to arrive in the state capital and be set up. The Christmas market opens on November 21st at Marienplatz.
