Lehrberg (dpa / lby) – A pregnant cow was startled by an unknown person in Middle Franconia and was injured so badly that she had to be put to sleep. The stranger scared the animal in the early hours of Wednesday with a flashlight on a pasture near Lehrberg (Ansbach district), the police said on Friday. The cow then ran into the rail of a pasture fence, which bore into her side. A vet had to put the animal to sleep.
