Munich (dpa/lby) – The German Trade Union Confederation (DBG) and various other associations and parties demonstrated in Munich on Thursday evening for social justice and more support in the energy crisis. The DGB Bavaria had called for the rally on the Odeonsplatz and expected around 1000 participants. The police spoke of 350 demonstrators. They carried banners with slogans like “Real wages up,” “Social justice,” and “We don’t freeze for your profit.” Among other things, the DGB called for higher taxes for the “super-rich” and an additional energy price flat rate of 500 euros.
