Early in the morning, walkers discover a man dead next to a bike path. Police officers move out, secure evidence. Rumors of a bloody crime in the drug scene quickly spread. Now three men are on trial.
Schweinfurt (dpa / lby) – From Tuesday (9:00 a.m.) three men have to answer to the district court of Schweinfurt for the violent death of an acquaintance. Prosecutors accuse the two main suspects – a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old – of murder. The third man (21) is accused of being an accessory to murder.
Walkers discovered the dead man on November 22, 2021 next to a cycle path on the outskirts of the small town of Bad Neustadt in Lower Franconia (Rhoen-Grabfeld district). The autopsy showed that the 26-year-old suffered fatal injuries from a sharp object – according to the public prosecutor’s office from a kitchen knife. The police arrested the three accused Germans shortly after the crime.
The investigators assume that the 19-year-old was angry with the victim because, among other things, he is said to have reminded him of debts of more than 100 euros. In addition, the 26-year-old is said to have asked the man to get him drugs.
A total of seven days of negotiations are scheduled until October 27th.
