Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – A drunk 38-year-old has chased the Nuremberg police over ten kilometers. When officials wanted to check him on Wednesday evening, the man drove away at high speed, the police said on Thursday. With the support of several patrols, the police drove after the man.
He drove through several red traffic lights and in the opposite direction of travel. He also drove faster than 100 kilometers per hour several times. The car was stopped near Röthenbach an der Pegnitz (Nuremberg Landkreis) and the 38-year-old arrested for the time being. A breath alcohol test revealed more than 0.5 per thousand. The man is being investigated on suspicion of a traffic offence.
