Regensburg (dpa / lby) – The police arrested a gang of six who are said to have repeatedly stolen cables and other objects from construction sites. The men between 29 and 39 years old from the Regensburg area went on a foray 18 times and took with them, among other things, two tons of power cables and large quantities of copper cables, as the Regensburg criminal police announced on Tuesday. The stolen goods are worth several hundred thousand euros.

At the beginning of June, four suspects were arrested on suspicion of aggravated gang theft. During house searches, investigators secured parts of the loot. Two other suspected gang members continued to commit burglaries after being arrested until they were arrested last week. All six are now in custody.
