Heringsdorf (dpa / mv) – Thieves stole two motorcycles and various tools on the island of Usedom with a total value of almost 60,000 euros. As police spokesman said on Tuesday, the incidents probably occurred on Tuesday night in Heringsdorf, Koserow and Ulrichshorst (West Pomerania-Greifswald). In Heringsdorf, a garage and a shed were violently opened and two motorcycles and tools were stolen. The locked courtyard gate of the property had previously been broken open.

In Ulrichshorst and Koserow, two company transporters were broken into and cleared out. In both cases, the damage was estimated at 20,000 euros each, with chainsaws disappearing, among other things. Whether there is a connection between the incidents – in both cases the rear doors had been broken open – is still being examined.
