Föritztal/Saalfeld (dpa/th) – A small van hit and fatally injured an 86-year-old pedestrian in Lindenberg, which belongs to Föritztal (Sonneberg district). The woman died at the scene of the accident, according to the police in Suhl. Accordingly, the 39-year-old van driver is said to have overlooked the woman on Tuesday morning because of the low sun, so that the collision came unabated.
