Passau (dpa / lby) – A man drove his car through Passau in wavy lines and showed passers-by the middle finger. In addition, according to the police, the 64-year-old ignored a red traffic light and drove honking towards people who were crossing the street – a woman was able to jump to the side just in time. Police officers finally stopped him on a bridge, according to a spokesman on Monday, the officers had to pull the man out of his car.

The 64-year-old was not under the influence of alcohol during the incident on Sunday. What was behind his behavior is unclear, said the police spokesman – the man did not want to talk to the officers. The police officers took his driver’s license from him, had his car towed away and initiated investigations into dangerous interference with traffic, insult and threats.
