Munich (dpa / lby) – A man threatened to set fire to a residential building in Munich. The 44-year-old locked himself in the basement early Thursday morning and threatened to burn everything with a liquid, said the police, who sent a large contingent. After an emergency call from a 42-year-old relative, more than ten patrols drove to the house.
Together with the fire brigade, the 19 residents were brought out of the building. In addition, a restricted zone was set up in a radius of 25 meters around the house.
After more than three hours, the 44-year-old was led out of the basement unharmed, it was said. In consultation with the health department, he was taken to a hospital with psychiatric care. According to police, the man did not have any flammable liquid with him.
