Munich (dpa / lby) – A 55-year-old man triggered a large-scale police operation in Munich by possessing illegal weapons and threatening his girlfriend. After the 55-year-old’s emergency call, more than ten patrols drove to the couple’s shared apartment on Thursday, a police spokesman said on Friday. Officers found the woman on the street. She said her boyfriend had guns and threatened her. A little later, the 55-year-old called his girlfriend. The officials used this telephone conversation to get the man to leave the apartment and turn himself in.
In the apartment, the investigators found, among other things, a bow and arrow, brass knuckles, a baton and some forbidden knives. The 55-year-old was reported for the prohibited items and the threat. Because the officials could not rule out a third-party risk, the man was taken to a hospital.
