Aschau im Chiemgau (dpa / lby) – Despite the arrest of a suspect for the murder of Hanna W. from Aschau im Chiemgau, the investigation will probably drag on for a long time. “It will certainly take months,” said a spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office in Rosenheim on Monday. The young man was arrested last Friday. The investigators are currently evaluating, among other things, data carriers and other material that they have secured during a house search.

The suspect has been in custody since Friday. According to the authorities, it is an adolescent between the ages of 18 and 21 from the southern district of Rosenheim. The investigators are currently not giving any more precise information, such as age. They refer to the protection of privacy of the man.

Hanna W. was rescued dead from the Prien river on October 3rd. The 23-year-old had previously celebrated in a club in her hometown of Aschau. After the autopsy, coroners concluded that it was a homicide because they found clear signs of external violence on the body. Since then, the police’s “Club” special commission has been trying, among other things, to reconstruct what happened on the night of the crime from October 2nd to 3rd.
