Windsbach (dpa / lby) – After two difficult years of the pandemic, the traditional Windsbach Boys’ Choir is optimistic about the future. “We hope that we have crossed the Corona valley,” said the new choir director Ludwig Böhme, who was inaugurated the day before. 15 new students were added this school year – more than last year. The ensemble, which was founded in 1946 and also has a boarding school, now has a total of 125 young and old singers.
Böhme has big plans for the choir. According to the information, appearances at the German Evangelical Church Congress in Nuremberg are planned. During the Advent season, the singers will tour Spain with Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, and another trip will be to Wroclaw in Poland.
