Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – The Nuremberg Ice Tigers are planning long-term with national player Marcus Weber. As the Franconian club from the German Ice Hockey League announced on Thursday, the 30-year-old defender extended his contract by three years until the summer of 2026. “Marcus Weber is an Ice Tiger through and through. His leadership qualities are greatly appreciated in the dressing room and by the coaching staff , and he always gives 100 percent on the ice,” praised sporting director Stefan Ustorf. Weber has played for Nuremberg since 2013. In 467 games so far, he has scored 11 goals and provided 73 assists.
