Garmisch-Partenkirchen (dpa / lby) – A paraglider crashed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Upper Bavaria and was not injured. The 27-year-old passed out at an altitude of 500 meters, probably as a result of a so-called spiral flight, the police said on Saturday.
When he regained consciousness, the man pulled the rescue parachute, which tangled with the main parachute and caused the crash. The paraglider pilot was taken to a clinic, but left “to the astonishment of the emergency services” a little later, despite the great height of the fall, unharmed. It is unclear why he was unharmed.
