Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – The Bavarian regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency will provide information on Friday (10 a.m.) about the situation on the labor market in September.

In August, the Ukraine war and seasonal effects caused unemployment in Bavaria to rise. The number of unemployed had increased compared to July by 5.9 percent to 252,952. As of August 11, the unemployment rate was 3.4 percent – 0.2 percentage points higher than in July.

Unemployment figures usually rise over the summer because companies are hiring fewer before the holidays and apprenticeships end. The new training year began in many companies in September.
