Schweinfurt (dpa / lby) – After a series of burglaries in Schweinfurt schools, the police arrested a possible perpetrator. A 19-year-old is said to be responsible for the twelve burglaries. As the police announced on Wednesday, the young man was caught red-handed. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, an investigating judge issued an arrest warrant.
In Schweinfurt and Sennfeld (Schweinfurt district) there had been several break-ins in recent weeks. The perpetrators always used force to enter the schools and looked for cash. On the night of Tuesday, the police finally caught the 19-year-old who could be responsible for the burglary series. The suspect tried to hide in the school toilet – but without success. The police have so far assumed property damage of around 50,000 to 60,000 euros. The police did not disclose how much the loot was.
