Munich (dpa/lby) – Residents of a single-family house in Munich found a one-meter-long corn snake in the garden. The non-toxic constrictor snake, which is harmless to humans, lay on a pile of wood in the sun on Friday, the fire brigade announced on Saturday. The residents of the family home could not identify the brown snake as native, which is why they alerted the fire brigade.

The emergency services photographed the animal and sent the photo to a colleague who, according to the fire department, is familiar with the reptiles. He recognized her as a corn snake. The fire brigade brought the animal to a reptile sanctuary where it is waiting for its owner.
