Regnitzlosau (dpa / lby) – Wanted with an arrest warrant, but without a driver’s license, a man in Upper Franconia was picked up by border police officers. During a traffic check on Autobahn 93 near Regnitzlosau (Hof district), the officers found that there was an arrest warrant against the 48-year-old, the police said on Monday. Previously, he had not paid a fine of 1,000 euros.
His colleague who was traveling with him gave him the money and thus saved the 48-year-old from being arrested. However, according to the police, both men did not have a driver’s license. Finally, a replacement driver came and took the two with him. The 48-year-old is now being investigated for driving without a license.
