Ebersberg (dpa / lby) – A wasp in a woman’s car caused an accident on Friday in the Ebersberg district, in which a chapel was damaged. The 39-year-old driver was on the federal highway 12 in the direction of Hohenlinden and was “suddenly attacked by an unauthorized wasp” near Neupullach, the police said.

When trying to fend off the insect, the car went off the road, drove over a green strip and crashed into a chapel. The driver suffered minor injuries and the chapel was damaged. The police said about the wasp: “After the accident, the flying insect immediately left the scene of the accident and could no longer be found.”
