Passau/Munich (dpa/lby) – For the second time, a 17-year-old is said to have stolen a car and driven it several hundred kilometers to his hometown of Passau. Under the pretext of wanting to test drive the car from a private person before buying it, the young person stole it in Munich on Friday and drove it around 200 kilometers to Passau without a driver’s license, the police reported on Tuesday. A week earlier he is said to have stolen a car in Berlin and driven it to Passau.
The police officers who had caught the 17-year-old in the alleged theft a week ago found the parked car from Munich on Monday in a Passau street, it was said. The 17-year-old was near the car. However, he could not hand over the key to the officials – according to the police, he already wants to have handed it over to a potential buyer.
