Augsburg (dpa / lby) – Attacker André Hahn from FC Augsburg underwent surgery after his serious knee injury. The Bundesliga soccer club published a photo of the 32-year-old from the hospital on Wednesday. Hahn is lying in the hospital bed, his right leg is in his splint and the striker raises his right thumb. The operation went well, the Augsburger wrote.
Hahn sustained the cartilage injury in the 3-2 draw at Schalke 04 in early October and will be out for several months. “The result is sad because he was in a really good mood,” admitted coach Enrico Maassen.
