Dortmund (dpa / lnw) – The police caught the suspected shooter, who is said to have fired from a car at a group of people in Dortmund. A special task force arrested the 28-year-old on Tuesday in his partner’s apartment, police and prosecutors said on Wednesday. He was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
The man is said to have shot at a group of people from the back seat of a car in Dortmund’s Nordstadt on Monday evening. Two men aged 28 and 31 were hit in the leg, but there was no danger to life. A total of four shots are said to have been fired.
The suspected shooter and the injured know each other well, according to investigators. The 28-year-old suspect was already known to the police and prosecutors from other proceedings related to drugs and acts of violence, it said on Wednesday.
