Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lby) – The DFB sports court has imposed a fine of 26,000 euros on FC Augsburg. The Bundesliga club has to pay for the unsportsmanlike behavior of its fans. During and after the final whistle of the first round match in the DFB Cup at TuS BW Lohne on July 31, a total of 26 pyrotechnic objects were burned in the Augsburg spectator area, according to a statement by the German Football Association on Thursday. The club can use up to 8,600 euros of the money for security or violence prevention measures.
