Straubing (dpa / lby) – The Straubing Tigers continue to rely on defender Brandon Manning. As the Lower Bavarians from the German Ice Hockey League announced on Wednesday, the 32-year-old Canadian will also play for Straubing in the coming season. It will be his second season with the Tigers.
Last season, Manning collected 23 points in 38 main round and four playoff games. Before moving to Straubing, he was under contract with the Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers, among others.
“With Brandon, we have a top leader in our ranks. With his NHL experience and his style of play, he’s a huge help on defense, but he’s also a good offensive player,” explained sporting director Jason Dunham.
