Regensburg (dpa / lby) – The Canadian national player Scott Kennedy from SSV Jahn Regensburg will miss the World Cup in Qatar due to injury. The 25-year-old central defender suffered a shoulder injury in the 4th minute of the 0:3 draw against Hansa Rostock on Saturday. “Kennedy will be missing for a few months,” said Jahn coach Mersad Selimbegovic after the home game in the 2nd Bundesliga. Steve Breitkreuz replaced Kennedy in the team. But the 30-year-old also had to leave the field dazed after 60 minutes. “Suspected concussion,” reports Selimbegovic. The Jahn threatens the loss of two of his central defenders at Hamburger HSV next Sunday.
