Did Camilla know who she was looking at? At least she got into conversation with singer Dua Lipa at an event in London. But she also talked to actress Natascha McElhone. And that definitely has a taste.

The crowd of guests at the Booker Literature Prize ceremony in London was a mixed bag. And so it happened that the king’s wife Camilla and pop singer Dua Lipa met there. Pictures show the two deep in conversation.

But what Camilla talked about with another lady should have been no less exciting. So the wife of King Charles III. also spotted chatting with actress Natascha McElhone at the event. McElhone is set to play Penny Knatchbull in the previously controversial fifth season of Netflix series The Crown. There has been speculation in the British media that the series Prince Philip (Jonathan Pryce) is implying a relationship with her.

Knatchbull is considered a close friend of the entire royal family. The fact that Prince Philip could be shown in the series just a few weeks after the death of Queen Elizabeth II was described as “tasteless”. The new episodes of “The Crown”, which will be broadcast from November 9th, are not the only reason why they are already being criticized. The episodes are also set to reveal some of the most intimate aspects of Princess Diana’s troubled marriage to Charles, potentially damaging the monarch’s reputation.

King consort Camilla does not seem to be influenced by the hustle and bustle surrounding the series. Instead, in the footage, which shows her talking to McElhone before the awards ceremony, she seems in a good mood. Also joining Camilla at the event was her sister, Annabel Elliot.

The king’s consort, who wore a black gown with lace detailing at the event, then presented the Booker Prize to author Shehan Karunatilaka. The ceremony was Camilla’s second solo royal appearance since taking on her new role as King Consort following the Queen’s death on September 8.
