Following her “amicable” split from Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde is dating her co-star Harry Styles in early 2021. The ex-couple’s former nanny now tells a completely different story. Accordingly, the actress cheated on her fiancé.
It has been clear since the end of April at the latest that the separation of Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis was by no means friendly. Back then, at the presentation of her film “Don’t Worry Darling” on the stage of CinemaCon in Los Angeles, the actress and director received a large, yellow envelope with the inscription “Personal and Confidential” in her hand. The content: custody documents of her ex-fiancé, with whom she has two small children.
Now another person interferes in the separation drama. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the couple’s former nanny claims she was caught amid growing tensions between the ‘Ted Lasso’ star and his ex. The woman, who is not named, not only reveals spicy details about supposed couple therapies that Wilde is said to have “never taken seriously”. She also accuses the 38-year-old of infidelity.
Despite numerous reports that the Hollywood stars amicably split before Wilde started dating now-boyfriend Harry Styles, the nanny claims that wasn’t the case. “On the Monday morning of November 9 (2020), when I came back from a weekend off, (Jason) cried a lot, cried and cried. I didn’t know what had happened at all,” she told the Daily Mail. “After I finished getting the kids ready, Jason came up the stairs and had a coffee. He was crying and was completely upset and said, ‘She left us. She left us!'”
A few days later, Sudeikis found out through text messages on an old Apple Watch that Wilde left in their house that Wilde had long been dating her “Don’t Worry Darling” co-star Harry Styles. “She approached him. She took the first step,” Sudeikis confided in his employees. Accordingly, they had kissed a few weeks earlier at a joint dinner with the film crew.
A week later, an argument between the ex-couples in the common house escalated so much that Sudeikis got under her car in an attempt to prevent Wilde from dating Harry Styles. When the 38-year-old told her ex that she was afraid of him, he replied: “If you’re afraid of me, why are you leaving your children with me?” Wilde “went back into the house and he went in, it was back and forth. He said he was doing it on purpose so that she would be late for Harry,” the former employee is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
According to the nanny, Wilde’s departure triggered a spiral of erratic behavior at Sudeikis – including a worsening of his drinking habits. On February 1, she was abruptly fired late at night by a “drunk and out of control” Sudeikis, who became angry after discovering that she had texted Wilde. Messages between the 47-year-old and the employee who published the “Daily Mail” should prove this.
To defend themselves against the nanny’s allegations, Wilde and Sudeikis have teamed up for a joint statement. “As a parent, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny (…) would choose to make such false and vile allegations about us publicly,” it said. “Your 18-month campaign to harass us, family members, close friends and colleagues has reached its unfortunate climax.”
38-year-old Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, eight years older, had been a couple since 2011 and got engaged in 2013. Son Otis was born in April 2014 and daughter Daisy in October 2016. In November 2020, Wilde and Sudeikis announced their separation. The actress has been dating 28-year-old musician Harry Styles since early 2021. According to the US celebrity portal “TMZ”, the two were first seen together at a wedding.
