A 5-year-old woman fighting cancer achieved her dream of getting a U.S. Air Force honorary pilot week as a result of Florida’s MacDill Air Force Base and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Honorary Capt. Lately Young had been given her requests for a pilot-for-the-day by Col. Benjamin Jonsson, 6th ARW commander, according to a Facebook article by the foundation on Tuesday.
“Ever managed to create her dream of getting a U.S. Air Force pilot come true,” the foundation composed.
She toured a KC-135 Stratotanker and the Air Traffic Control Tower.
Pictures of her trip had been submitted by MacDill on its FB page.
