The Board of Trustees of the Goethe-University has rejected the petition of the extended Senate, at least three candidates for the presidential election on may 8. July allow. According to information from the F. A. Z. the majority of the Council on Thursday has noted, “after a long and intense discussion” that there is no reason to say that the decision on the election list to be softening.

As reported, has proposed to the Board of Trustees for the choice of incumbent, Birgitta Wolff, and former Vice-President Enrico Schleiff. Not the psychologist Holger Horz, and the historian Jan Palmowski, which competed were nominated.
A Senate disappointed, responded a member of the group of professors: “I’m sure that the choice to fail now.” Another representative of the professors, however, showed understanding for the attitude of the Council: The decision for only two candidates to be covered by the Hessian higher education act; and to deviate from this legal risk would have brought.
