Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin have been married for 25 years. But is everything over between the two? In any case, a tattoo with her face has disappeared from the arm of the Hollywood star. Instead, a dog is emblazoned there. It’s all just a misunderstanding, Stallone’s spokesman insists.
Sylvester Stallone has debunked rumors he may have split from wife Jennifer Flavin. A misunderstanding is to blame for the speculation about the marriage, a spokesman for the Hollywood star told the British newspaper “Daily Mail”. There would be no problems in the relationship between the two, he assured.
How did the rumors come about? Through a tattoo that Stallone got pierced on his upper right arm. Until now, a portrait of his wife could be admired there. Now, however, the likeness of his former dog Butkus is emblazoned there, as photos circulating on social networks show. Stallone himself posted a photo of the creation of the tattoo on his Instagram page.
Butkus was a Bullmastiff. The dog also appeared in the first two “Rocky” films. But although the 76-year-old apparently still has fond memories of his former four-legged friend – the Butkus tattoo was initially not planned at all, the spokesman explains.
“Mr Stallone wanted to refresh his wife Jennifer’s tattoo but the result was unsatisfactory and unfortunately beyond repair. He therefore had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog Butkus from ‘Rocky’,” reads the statement. The fact that Stallone loves his family also means that he is in front of the camera with her for a reality TV show.
However, the fact that Flavin has not been following her husband on Instagram for a few days also contributed to the rumours. In addition, the 54-year-old posted a picture with her three daughters on August 10 and wrote: “The girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The four of us forever.” However, how this is to be understood again remains unclear.
Stallone and former model Flavin recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary – they’ve been married since May 1997. Together they had daughters Sophie (25), Sistine (24) and Scarlet (20).
