This Thursday, July 7, is a sustained activity for Dragon 74. The civil security helicopter arrived in Talloires-Montmin just before 10 a.m. to transport a teenage victim of trauma to his thigh, arm and leg from a canyoning trip.
Dragon 74 was launched just before noon to save a couple in their 70s stuck on a Bellevaux via ferrata. The couple were unharmed and dropped off at their vehicle.
The yellow and red helicopters flew to Samoens at around 1:30 PM to rescue a paraglider that had fallen from 25-meter high trees during flight. After an hour at the top, the rescuer was able to bring the paraglider safely to safety. However, the woman in her fifties, Dutch nationality, was not rescued and she was taken to safety.
Dragon 74 arrived on La Tournette at 3:30 p.m. to help a Belgian hiker who was suffering from pain in his knees at Col de Varo. The tourist was dropped at his vehicle.
