Bad Homburg (dpa/lhe) – A pedestrian was hit by a car in Bad Homburg on Wednesday afternoon and was critically injured. The 49-year-old was flown to a clinic with a rescue helicopter, according to the police in Wiesbaden. The car was driven by an 86-year-old woman. She had accelerated at the closed barrier of an underground car park for initially unknown reasons and drove through the barrier onto the street. There her car hit the pedestrian from Lower Saxony and then crashed into a house wall. The woman was also taken to a hospital for examination.
