Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Around 350 students were enrolled in a nursing course at Hessian universities in the 2021/2022 winter semester. This emerges from the response of the Ministry of Social Affairs to a parliamentary question from the SPD parliamentary group in Wiesbaden. For example, students at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences can learn “Management Nursing and Health”.

The Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt offers the “Nursing and Health Sciences” course, while the Fulda University of Applied Sciences offers the subjects “Nursing Management” and “Nursing Science”. “There are no indications that the current offer does not meet the needs,” explained the ministry. In the future, an expansion of the courses offered in the nursing sector would be desirable in order to promote academization in the healthcare sector.
