Haunetal (dpa/lhe) – In the case of the 37-year-old woman who was found lifeless in Haunetal in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, the cause of death has been determined. The woman died as a result of a stab wound, said the Fulda public prosecutor and the police. This was the result of an autopsy on Friday. The woman was injured with multiple stabs. The cause of death was a stab in the upper body.
The suspect is the 20-year-old son of the woman’s partner. He was arrested on Wednesday evening and brought before a magistrate on Thursday afternoon. He was then placed in a psychiatric clinic. The exact circumstances and background to the crime are not yet known and are the subject of investigations by the police and public prosecutor.
A resident called the police to the home on Wednesday evening. The officers then found the heavily bleeding and lifeless woman. The suspect was arrested on the spot without resistance.
