Hochheim (dpa/lhe) – When a car collided with a truck on the Autobahn 671 near Hochheim (Main-Taunus-Kreis), the two occupants of the car were seriously injured. A 23-year-old threw his car on Monday morning between the Hochheim-Süd and Gustavsburg junctions across the lane into the left crash barrier, the police said on Monday. The car then came to a standstill across the road. A 46-year-old truck driver noticed the car too late, and the collision occurred.
The driver was trapped in his car and had to be freed by firefighters. He and his passenger were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The autobahn is fully closed between the two junctions in a southerly direction. It was still unclear Monday morning how long the closure would last.
