Leipzig (dpa/sn) – Four people were injured in a fire in an apartment in an apartment building in the south-east of Leipzig on Monday night. A 26-year-old resident is now being investigated for negligent arson, the police said on Monday morning. However, the exact cause of the fire was initially unclear. The fire brigade evacuated the house and put out the fire. The 26-year-old and his 23-year-old roommate, as well as two residents of the house aged 20 and 21, had to be treated medically due to smoke inhalation. The affected apartment is currently uninhabitable. The amount of property damage was not immediately known.
