Marburg (dpa / lhe) – The occupation of a large lecture hall at the University of Marburg by climate activists for several days has ended. This ended peacefully, said the Central Hessian university on Friday. The university management had tolerated the campaign with extensions until Friday noon, but agreed with the participants that courses should continue to be possible in the lecture hall. About 30 climate activists began the occupation on Monday. Among other things, they wanted a turnaround in traffic and the move away from fossil fuels.
