Bad Homburg (dpa/lhe) – For every second person in Hesse, Corona hardly plays a role in everyday life. As a representative survey by the Insa Consulere institute commissioned by the health insurance company AOK Hessen showed, the pandemic has had little or no effect on the lives of 50 percent of those surveyed. Only a tenth of those surveyed stated that Corona plays a major role in their everyday lives. 34 percent said they wanted to be vaccinated against the corona virus in the coming months. According to the survey, 30 percent have already received a second booster vaccination, 40 percent have been boosted once.

The willingness to appear at work when sick was also asked. Almost a quarter stated that they wanted to continue working despite a corona diagnosis. 73 percent refused, with women (81 percent) answering the question in the negative more often than men (66 percent). At the same time, the survey revealed greater caution when it comes to cold symptoms compared to pre-pandemic times. 35 percent said they would call in sick if they had a cold that they would have had at work before the pandemic. 27 percent would rather work from home if they had a cold. For the survey, 1000 people in Hesse over the age of 18 were interviewed by telephone.
