Bad Schwalbach (dpa/lhe) – A 49-year-old cyclist was seriously injured on a federal road in the Taunus on Saturday. She was cycling with her 55-year-old husband when a driver wanted to overtake the two near Bad Schwalbach (Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis) despite oncoming traffic, the police said. The 32-year-old car driver first touched the cyclist driving behind, who was just able to prevent a fall. He then touched the woman driving in front, who fell as a result. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
