Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – The opening of the Offenbach Christmas market attracted numerous visitors on Monday. In order to compensate for the losses of the Corona years, the market will start earlier than usual at the request of the exhibitors, as the city announced. The Offenbach market started this year as one of the first in Hesse. It takes place without hygiene requirements – but with less lighting due to the energy crisis. A week later, on November 21st, the Christmas markets in Frankfurt, Kassel and Darmstadt begin. The Wiesbaden shooting star market opens one day later, on November 22nd.
