Zwingenberg (dpa/lhe) – Eight people were injured in an accident on Autobahn 5 near Zwingenberg (Bergstrasse district) on Friday morning. A black van collided with another van carrying a family of six because it was driving too fast when entering the freeway, police said. Four children and young people between the ages of 10 and 20 were among the injured. Some of the accident victims were able to free themselves from the vehicles, and there were also numerous first-aiders on site. The property damage was estimated at around 35,000 euros. The A5 had to be temporarily closed in a southerly direction. A backlog formed.
