Rostock (dpa/mv) – The Rostock Seawolves have committed their third entry for the new season in the basketball Bundesliga: Center Selom Mawugbe is to strengthen the Mecklenburg team, the club said on Friday. The 24-year-old American with Ghanaian roots will receive a one-year contract in Rostock. “Selom is someone we’ve been looking for for a long time. In terms of player type, he’s exactly what we really wanted,” said coach Christian Held about the newcomer.

Although the player still has to prove himself in Europe, Held continued. “We want to develop him further and hope that he will make a breakthrough with us.”
