Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – Basketball player Richard Freudenberg from the Bundesliga club Fraport Skyliners ends his professional career. The 23-year-old winger wants to devote himself to his bachelor’s degree in business administration, the Frankfurt club announced on Tuesday.

“Richard was one of the absolute top talents of his year and had prospects for a career that could have ranged from a top German player to the national team to the top of Europe,” said Gunnar Wöbke, Managing Partner of the Skyliners. Born in Heidelberg, Freudenberg has played in Frankfurt since 2017.
