Wetzlar (dpa / lhe) – A man shot a gun in the air in Wetzlar and also aimed the gun at several pedestrians. A passer-by could then knock the gun out of his hand, as the Central Hesse police announced on Monday. In a scuffle, he then managed to take the pistol, sustaining minor injuries to one hand. The shooter ran away after the incident on Friday evening.
Pedestrians called police around midnight after hearing multiple gunshots. According to the police, it is a live firearm. So far, nothing is known about the motive or the exact course of the crime. Investigators are now looking for the shooter and other witnesses. The perpetrator was between 30 and 35 years old.
