Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – A suspected explosive chemical was released in a pharmacy in downtown Wiesbaden on Thursday. As a precaution, the police and fire brigade evacuated the building and blocked the surrounding streets.

As a spokesman for the fire brigade reported, explosives experts from the State Criminal Police Office were on site. According to initial findings, there was a chemical reaction with explosive picric acid. Details of the operation were not initially known.
